Increasing concerns for health, the environment and saving money have helped push organic, local and affordable food to the mainstream, and in many places that’s led to a new focus on the farmers’ market. Even my hometown of Mascoutah, Illinois has one.

While I enjoy the charm of my local farmers’ market (especially in the post-Weekend Edition hour), I found the designs submitted to a GOOD Magazine contest intriguing. Check them out here.
