I talked with Congressman John Yarmuth about his appointment to the high-profile Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Of Chairman Darrell Issa, Yarmuth said:
“When you have a chairman who has gone on the record and said publicly that he thinks the Obama administration is the most corrupt administration in history and that he plans to aggressively pursue investigations. That, to me, reeks of witch hunt potential.”

The majority of Americans are willing to cut Obama some slack on the wars even though they do not like the wars. Why? They think Obama is the best choice for the economy, unemployment and their future.
They support the wars on the heels of a large tax cut for the wealthy and most Americans. They support the wars even though they cost more than 250 billion a year, adding to the large national debt which there kids and grandkids will have to pay. They accept the fact that we are losing troops every week and are killing many hundreds of Arabs and Muslims each week.
They approve of the wars even though their costs will adversely affect earned entitlements like Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare and even military health insurance.
They support the wars because there is no real cost to the average American. There is no draft and no tax to pay for the wars. This is why Americans continue to support Obama’s wars.
