Grocery chain Kroger is closing 20 of its in-store Little Clinics. The Little Clinic company moved to Louisville from Tennessee in 2007.

From Business First:

The company still was expanding as recently as October, when it opened three clinics in Houston. It will now exit that market, as well as Indianapolis, Toledo, Detroit and Richmond, Va.

It also will close three locations in Columbus and one in Phoenix.

The grocer continues to operate 10 locations in the Louisville area. It also will continue to operate in Columbus and Cincinnati, Ohio; Lexington, Ky.; Denver; Knoxville and Memphis, Tenn.; and Phoenix, but the comany will “revisit expansion plans for 2011 and beyond once it completes the process of streamlining its operations,” the release said.
