Retired professor of philosophy of religion and theology Dr. David Ray Griffin will speak at the St. Matthews Community Center Wednesday night at 7. Griffin is perhaps most notable for being an outspoken skeptic of the circumstances and facts surrounding 9/11. Griffin denies that the underlying story of 9/11 is true. He’s called the 9/11 Commission report a “571-page-lie.”

Griffin will bring his lecture series to Louisville to discuss his theories and how they relate to the war in Afghanistan.

From his press release:

“Whereas it is widely recognized that the US-led war in Afghanistan is illegal under international law, because it was never authorized by the UN Security Council, most Americans have believed that it was morally justified as a response to the 9/11 attacks, and many believe it is still justified as a necessary means to prevent another attack originating from that region.

“My lecture will present evidence showing that both of these beliefs are untrue.”
