The latest ad from Democratic mayoral candidate Jim King hits frontrunner Greg Fischer on a few topics, including job creation, political contributions and that Inc. Magazine award.

In the ad, you’ll see a blurb from this very blog. Well, you’ll see part of a blurb.

The ad excerpts the April 23rd post What Did Fischer Win?, quoting:

“So it appears that no, Greg Fischer did not win…”

Note the ellipsis. Here’s the full quote, in case anyone comes to The Edit searching for it:

“So it appears that no, Greg Fischer did not win the national Inc. Magazine Entrepreneur of the Year award, but he did win an Entrepreneur of the Year award affiliated with Inc. Fischer’s spokesperson says this is in line with Fischer’s previous statements, and the candidate does not claim to have won the national award.”

The post went on to quote Business First, which sponsored the regional contest:

“The finalists are in the running for the title of U.S. Entrepreneur of the Year. The national winner will be featured in Inc’s cover story in January 1991.”
