It looks like the Kentucky Senate race is one of several across the country with a notable enthusiasm gap. Chris Cillizza points out that polls of registered voters show the race statistically close in Kentucky, but polls of likely voters give Republican Rand Paul a notable advantage.

Paul (R) and state Attorney General Jack Conway (D) are tied 40 percent apiece among registered voters. When likely voters are surveyed, Paul leads Conway 45 percent to 40 percent.

New Senate polls are likely coming in the next few days, so it will be interesting to see if the gap persists.
