The latest Federal Reserve Beige Book  has been released (there are eight books a year). Derby City Cents has a rundown of the report for Louisville.

– Home sales that are down 1 percent from 2009, but that’s still better than the other three cities

– A 5 percent decline in building permits from 2009′s pace, about on par with the other cities

– A contact in Louisville who says “commercial real estate markets continue to struggle, although contacts expect improvements in the suburban office market in 2011.”
