After months of speculation, Republican Indiana Congressman Mike Pence says he will not to run for President. He may, however, run for Governor.

That is good. He needs to help end the wars which cost us 250 billion dollars a year. That is about one sixth of the upcoming year’s budget deficit of 1.5 trillion. How can we as a country afford two unnecessary wars when we cannot provide the basics of human resources and physical infrastructure here at home? But, they will not talk about the wars in the same sentence as cutting spending. And, they will not talk about major defense cuts for defense contractors. Why? They are part of our economic house of cards.
