Senate candidates Jack Conway (D) and Rand Paul (R) have now both filed their quarterly finance reports, and while the documents don’t present any big surprises, there are a few interesting notes.

The CJ points out that Conway received donations from out of state Democrats (Maury Povich, Michael Eisner and George Soros) while Paul received donations from establishment Republicans he formerly criticized and from people making multiple small donations. It was predicted that Paul’s national attention following the primary would attract out-of-state Democrats to Conway, and it was known that Paul had strong national internet fundraising infrastructure in place.
